This treaty came into effect at on May 12th, 2008.

Treaty of Jacwan

Article One – Dual Citizenship
Section One - Citizens of the Empire of Jaconia and the Aerican Empire may if they so wish, become citizens of both nations.
Section Two - Dual citizens may reside and receive employment within either nation.
Section Three - Dual citizens are accountable to the laws of the nation that they are currently residing in.
Section Four - When inside the Aerican Empire, dual citizens enjoy full democratic rights.
Section Five - The Head of State/s of either nation may not become dual citizens. Nor may those immediately subordinate to them receive said dual citizenship.

Article Two - Appointment of Ambassadors
Section One - An ambassador for each nation may be appointed through the appropriate channels for each nation. This ambassador must first be approved by the second nation.
Section Two - Ambassadors may serve for the duration of the treaty unless otherwise dismissed through appropriate channels.
Section Three - An ambassador may not be a dual citizen

Article Three - Validity of Treaty
Section One - Upon being ratified, this treaty is valid for five years. It may be renewed after that time if the EOJ and the AE so wish.
Section Two - Until the treaty has expired, it is impregnable.
Section Three - The Treaty must be personally ratified by the Head of State/s of each nation.
